Sheffield Academy of Young Leaders

On Sunday at the SAYLs update day some exciting news was passed on to the SAYLS staff.  One of our Team Leaders Amy is going to be a Torchbearer!  Her Mum had nominated her due to all her hard work through ongoing years.  Amy travelled 5,987 miles across the world to Gansbaai, South Africa; with an ultimate goal of bettering the life of at least one child.  Professionals state how “Amy leaves a lasting memory on every path she crosses’.  This is clear to see through the work Amy does with SAYLs too.

Olivia (left on photo) one of SAYLs Young Leaders has also received a conditional offer to be an Olympic Torchbearer. Her Auntie nominated her due to Olivia's commitment and dedication to sport. Olivia has achieved her Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh and is preparing for her Gold award. She is a member of the City of Sheffield Swimming squad. Iin 2011 Olivia dedicated 95 hours of her time to volunteer with SAYLs, this is a brilliant achievement.  Congratulations from the whole of the SAYLs team go to Amy and Olivia.
